not accurate
I thought that this would be much more convenient than using my HPII Plus Pro and it would be if it gave the right answers. Heres an example:
Suppose that you want to receive $5000 per month for 20 years and then receive $100,000 at the end of 20 years. The APR is 4% with monthly payments and semi-annual compounding.
P/Y=12
C/Y=2
I/Y=4
N=240
PMT=5,000
FV=100,000
Compute the present value and you get an answer of $248,705.56. However, the answer should be $872,765.96 (this is what you get from a real BAII Plus or a BAII Plus Pro or Excel.) There is something seriously wonky in how the calculator is doing it calculations. Also, being able to enter numbers from your keyboard rather than clicking on the calculator buttons with your mouse would be nice. Also, being able to copy results from the calculator to the clipboard would be a big plus.
Until the calculator produces results consistent with the BAII Plus, dont bother buying this.
