BA Pro Financial Calculator App Reviews

10 Customer Reviews:

I thought that this would be much more convenient than using my HPII Plus Pro and it would be if it gave the right answers. Heres an example: Suppose that you want to receive $5000 per month for 20 years and then receive $100,000 at the end of 20 years. The APR is 4% with monthly payments and semi-annual compounding. P/Y=12 C/Y=2 I/Y=4 N=240 PMT=5,000 FV=100,000 Compute the present value and you get an answer of $248,705.56. However, the answer should be $872,765.96 (this is what you get from a real BAII Plus or a BAII Plus Pro or Excel.) There is something seriously wonky in how the calculator is doing it calculations. Also, being able to enter numbers from your keyboard rather than clicking on the calculator buttons with your mouse would be nice. Also, being able to copy results from the calculator to the clipboard would be a big plus. Until the calculator produces results consistent with the BAII Plus, dont bother buying this.

This App could be a useful program, but I have found a few flaws that the developers should look into (e.g. Cash Flow problems - NPV and IRR). I am sure it is a matter of debugging, but I would strongly suggest that the developers fix them.

The calculator works well, but key features such as being able to type the numbers on the keyboard are not available. You actually have to click on each number to enter the values. There are also no shortcut keys.

When you use the ammortization worksheet function, it does not correctly calculate interest and principal information. In addition, you have to click the numbers, rather than typing them, but the MUCH bigger concern is the fact that this calculator does bad math. For example, if you borrow $150,000 on a monthly mortgage at 7% for 30 years, how much interest will you have paid? I dont know because this calculator thinks it is only $810. Ok, so I actually know, because my TIBAII+ gives me the correct answer. Thank goodness my TI got it right even if Vicinnos app did not.

I purchased the calculator in hopes that it would work for a class presentation that I was recording. I wanted to work through problems with students using it. The first problem I did was to calculate the standard deviation using the Data and Stat function. While it properly calculated the mean, it did not calcuate the standard deviation. Very disappointing for a $15 app. Wish I could get my money back.

This application is literally useless. How they justify pricing a a non-functioning calculator at $15 dollars is beyond me. For all others considering buying this, just know youve been warned. BUYERS BEWARE

In the past I have found that some people exaggerate on their reviews. This time they were not. This emulator is unusable. It makes tons of mathematical mistakes.

My search was for a HP BA-II like the one I purchased for my iPad & iPhone. This is NOT a HP it is phony junk. Deceptive search. !5 dollars wasted.

The app seems fine otherwise, but not being able to hit “enter/return” to receive the answer is unintuitive to me. Also, everytime I close the app it forgets all the data/settings, such as the number of decimals to use, etc. It would also be nice to be able to resize the application window, and have the app icons adjust accordingly. These changes would definitely make it a 5-star app.
